An Ambush of Tigers

My first finished thesis piece, I am hyperventilating with nervousness. It is based on collective nouns of animals and how they ironically reflect our treatment of them. So a tiger being ambushed by his own bones which are valued for their supposed medical properties. Any feedback would be more than welcome!

Despite the fact the I can’t keep the nail polish on my nails I think these turned out nicely. I don’t see them lasting long though, the green polish is terrible :(

This was supposed to be a two week painting but I was horribly sick the first week. So in an attempt to whip together something fast I threw in some lines, and then paint on top… I’m actually really happy with it. As for the shotty quality of the picture, I took it in the dark on my phone, I will at some point take a better picture.

The final version for my character design class where we had to make a key frame for American Mcgee’s Alice games. Compared to the candy coloured first draft of the frame this one is pretty dull, but I like all the conflicting patterns to give it just a bit of a victorian and a bit of a crazy distracting feel. Also until this point in my life I was unaware that most mushrooms seem to have skirts, I am a fan.

Welcome to my illustration blog! This is a place for me to stick all of the stuff that doesn’t really fit on my website. So that pretty much means this will be filled with progress works, and projects doomed never to be fully finished.
